From Patriots Park to Main Street: Hudson Harbor's Walk Into the Holiday Season

October 22, 2026

Hudson Harbor's Saturdays change address in late November. November 21 is the last date on the TaSH Farmers Market's posted outdoor season at Patriots Park, 121 Broadway. That evening, the Tarrytown Music Hall opens its run of Annie.

Over the three weeks after that, Tarrytown's calendar gets busier, and nearly all of it falls on one short stretch. The Music Hall at 13 Main Street, the shops and restaurants between the low numbers of Main Street and the first blocks of North Broadway, and a new café in an old bank building carry the village from Thanksgiving week to mid-December. For anyone living by the river, the season is a walk uphill.

November 21, the day both calendars run

TaSH's posted 2026 schedule has the market at Patriots Park every Saturday from May 23 through November 21, 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. On that final Saturday, the Music Hall has two separate draws. Annie opens a full-length professional production with Broadway and New York City performers to mark the show's 50th anniversary, and Maria Bamford is booked for the same date.

So the day starts at Patriots Park in the morning and ends on Main Street at night. It's the only Saturday this fall when the season's two anchors overlap.

The route between them has changed this year. The Village of Tarrytown reported in its July 24 Tarrytown Link newsletter that it changed the signal sequence at Main Street, Depot Plaza and Cortlandt Street. Westbound and eastbound traffic over the tracks now moves in separate phases to reduce conflicts. That intersection is the hinge between the station side and Main Street, and on a show night most foot traffic from the waterfront passes through it.

What the Music Hall has booked before Thanksgiving

The Music Hall's November calendar fills the weeknights and weekends before Annie opens. Here are the listed dates through Thanksgiving week, from the Tarrytown Music Hall's own calendar:

Date On stage
Wednesday, Nov. 4 Dweezil Zappa, DZ20: Like Father, Like Son
Friday–Saturday, Nov. 6–7 Disney's Alice in Wonderland Jr., Tarrytown Music Hall Academy
Saturday, Nov. 7 Marc Maron, Yammering into the Void Tour
Thursday, Nov. 12 Samantha Fish, Paper Doll Live World Tour
Friday, Nov. 13 Small Town Murder, live podcast
Saturday, Nov. 14 Taconic Opera, Beethoven Symphony No. 9
Sunday, Nov. 15 Live Talks NY presents Amy Tan
Saturday, Nov. 21 Annie opens; Maria Bamford

A few of these have local details. The Junior Theater production of Alice in Wonderland Jr. comes from the Tarrytown Music Hall Academy, directed by Sami Canziani. Taconic Opera starts its Beethoven season with the Ninth Symphony, the "Ode to Joy," with the company's own soloists, chorus and orchestra. Amy Tan's appearance centers on her book The Backyard Bird Chronicles, and orchestra tickets include a signed copy.

That makes nine listings in the first three weeks of November, mostly on Main Street, and for Hudson Harbor residents mostly within walking range. The Music Hall puts the village's center of gravity at 13 Main Street well before the holiday events begin.

A coffee counter behind a teller's window

The newest place on this walk opened this summer on North Broadway. The Hudson Independent reported that the long-vacant Washington Irving Trust Company building at 25 North Broadway reopened on July 30 as Dahlia's Song, a café and flower shop. According to that report, the 126-year-old former bank still has its original century-old marble walls, high ceilings and large rear windows facing the Hudson. Coffee is brewed behind a classic brass teller's window.

The Hudson Independent profiled owner Linh Hoang, who grows dahlias at home and serves Vietnamese coffee brewed mainly from robusta beans. She also leads workshops in flower arranging, wreath making and watercolor painting. The paper lists the café's hours as 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday, and Dahlia's Song's own site gives the same daily hours with Mondays closed.

The wreath workshops matter most for this time of year. A shop with river-facing windows, fresh flowers and wreath making fits the weeks between the last market and the Winter Stroll.

Two more North Broadway and Main Street openings have been announced but not yet confirmed as open. Tarrytown Local, a grocer, café and bakery at 57 North Broadway, still says on its own site that it is coming to Tarrytown. Iguanarita Tex-Mex Café is listed by the Sleepy Hollow Tarrytown Chamber of Commerce at 39 Main Street, and a September roundup in The Journal News said it was expected to open this fall. If both open on schedule, they would join the same few blocks as the Music Hall and Dahlia's Song.

December on Main Street, date by date

Once Thanksgiving passes, the calendar packs tighter still. Each December date builds on the last, and all of them run through the same stretch of Main Street.

Tuesday and Wednesday, December 1–2: Sip • Taste • Shop

The Music Hall lists Sip • Taste • Shop as a two-day, village-wide event. A holiday market runs at the Music Hall and at locations throughout town from noon to 9 p.m. on both days. Because it falls on a Tuesday and Wednesday, it's the one holiday market this season that fits a weeknight walk home from the train.

The first week of December at the Music Hall

The stage stays busy right after the market. The Music Hall lists Richard Marx in a solo performance on December 3, Chris Isaak On Tour for the Holidays on December 4, The Machine Performs Pink Floyd on December 5, and New York Theatre Ballet's hour-long Nutcracker on December 6. The ballet company describes that Nutcracker as made for younger audiences yet sophisticated enough for adults.

Saturday, December 5: the market's listed return

The market itself doesn't stop after November 21. TaSH's vendor map lists a December 5 market date, followed by weekly Saturdays from January 9 through April 24, 2027. A listing on the market's vendor platform calls the January 9 date the "2027 Winter Season," with hours of 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and gives Patriots Park as the location. The December 5 listing doesn't name a location. Since the winter hours are shorter and the posted season page still lists the summer schedule, checking the TaSH site before a December or January visit will save a wasted walk.

Saturday, December 12: the Winter Stroll

The Sleepy Hollow Tarrytown Chamber of Commerce has set its sixth annual Winter Stroll for Saturday, December 12, from 1 to 5 p.m. A free trolley and party bus will connect participating businesses in both villages, and visitors can vote for their favorite storefront decorations.

The Chamber's Tarrytown lineup shows how tightly the day sits on Main Street:

  • Main Street Parking Lot, next to River View Wine & Spirits: Lovely Calamity Productions presents Christmas at Bracebridge Hall, a 30-minute play based on Washington Irving's stories, at 2:30, 3:30, 4:30 and 5:30 p.m.
  • Tarrytown Music Hall, 13 Main St.: Cherish the Ladies, with ticketed shows at 4 and 8 p.m.; the Music Hall bills the program as A Celtic Christmas.
  • Marquee Records, 13 Main St., second floor: records for $2 each, with all proceeds going to the nonprofit Tarrytown Music Hall.
  • Shaylula Jewelry & Gifts, 23 Main St.: a holiday candle trunk show from 2 to 6 p.m.
  • Sweet Grass Grill, 24 Main St.: a live jazz trio and holiday cocktails.
  • Mint Premium Foods, 19 Main St.: Belgian hot chocolate to carry along the route.
  • Corcoran Legends Realty, 38 Main St.: a holiday pop-up shop featuring local vendors.

Most of these addresses fall between 13 and 54 Main Street. The stretch then turns onto North Broadway, where the Chamber lists stops like Bella's Boutique at 35 North Broadway and The Swan's House at 37 North Broadway, a few doors past Dahlia's Song. Business plans can change before December, so the Chamber's page is the place to check the final list close to the date.

The Music Hall wraps that weekend's stage calendar with Big Bad Voodoo Daddy's Wild and Swingin' Holiday Party on Friday, December 11, the night before the Stroll.

Where the season sits on the map

Taken together, the dates show a clear shift. From May to late November, Saturday mornings in Tarrytown centered on Patriots Park on Broadway. From November 21 through December 12, the busiest dates on the calendar sit on Main Street between the Music Hall and the corner of North Broadway: nine Music Hall listings before Thanksgiving week ends, a two-day village market, six more stage listings in the first two weeks of December, and a Winter Stroll whose Tarrytown stops mostly sit within a few dozen street numbers of each other.

For Hudson Harbor, the season comes up from the waterfront on foot through the Depot Plaza crossing. This year that route crosses tracks with a reworked signal and passes a café that has taken over a restored 126-year-old bank at 25 North Broadway.
